Huntington Seacliff PTA Volunteer Opportunities
The Huntington Seacliff PTA sponsors/is involved in a wide variety of exciting programs and activities for students during the school year such as Harvest Festival, Book Fair, Art Masters, Gala, Family Fun Run, Field Day and Community Events. In order to run these programs successfully, we need volunteer support. Parents, relatives and friends are all encouraged to become Seacliff volunteers. Volunteering is a great way to meet new friends, learn more about your child’s school and show your child that you care. Please note that a TB screening or Assessment Questionnaire signed by a medical professional is required of all persons volunteering in the classroom. Stop by our school nurse’s office for more information. Teachers coordinate all classroom volunteers.
GENERAL HELP: Not ready to volunteer for a specific activity? General Help may be for you! Volunteers are needed to help with various jobs throughout the year, such as School Photos, Student Store, Accelerated Reader, Art Reflections, Community Partnerships, Hospitality, Kinder Coach, Marathon Kids, Staff Appreciation and Family Nights.
Harvest Festival (October 18): This family carnival features games, harvest-themed activities, music, food and more! Many volunteers are needed in the planning and execution of this fun Seacliff Elementary community outreach event, supported by our PTA.
Book Fair (January 28- Feb 1) and Read & Reuse Sale (May 29-31): The MPR is transformed into a wonderland of imagination and students have the opportunity to purchase entertaining and informative books. Books for all grade levels and educational gift items are available for purchase.
Gala (April 27): Our biggest fundraiser of the year needs your creativity and enthusiasm! Many volunteers are needed to make this exciting evening a huge success.
Family Fun Run (June 1): Get involved in this family fun day that incorporates health, fitness, and fun. This run/walk event will take place on a Saturday in May at Huntington Seacliff.
Field Days (June 17-18): This event is held during the last week of school in June, and involves fun and physical exercise for all the students as they rotate through a variety of fitness-related activities.
Rad Parents: Facilitate lunch time games and sport activities with the students.
Green Team: Help students plant and grow the school’s garden during their lunch time 🙂
